Little Zhe-Ming was lost in the deep woods during a family trip. I believe this is my first Susan Krinard book. Not the strong protector but a manipulative user out to do what suits him. I did enjoy the style of writing that Susan Krinard displays but its a bit more detailed and more intense and vivid, and I will admit there were moments throughout where I was totally drawn into it, however there were others where it was such a book to be content in. So slow and BORING! Good grief. Joelle is well written & developed - strong, and well rounded which was nice to see.
She finds a guide in Luke Gevaudan, a loner mountaineer. She has a difficult time finding anyone to help lead her into the mountains, the one man who offered to help had taken her money and ran. Mi-Mi didn't know wha t to make of the situation.
Another great read. Overall the story wasn't too bad and she threw in enough twists to make things interesting.I found the lead characters to be a bit unlikeable.

It was slow & made me want to skip many pages. All she needed was a guide to lead her through the untamed mountain wilderness to the site where her parents' plane had crashed so long ago. I do believe it would make for a spectacular movie though!This is an incredible story. But the only guide Joelle could find was Luke Gevaudan, a magnetically attractive loner with the feThrough with running from the past, Joelle Randall has come to the rugged Canadian Rockies determined to face her pain and begin anew. 5 & there's been no allusion to this whatsoever. He was supposed to be tortured and broody but instead came off as jerky and self-important. The premiss is kind of stupid too. A sweet romantic story. I found myself wishing Joelle would decide to leave the area and leave Luke to himself.
And My Favourite Drama Ever. This book was good though it was a plot that is used often when writing a story if werewolves.Too much mental dominance and selfishness without much werewolf ability making an appearance.
For her, Zhe-Ming decides to leave Wolf Mountain, and the two start a journey together, one filled with tons of laughter. I've read it so many times I'm surprised the paperback is still intact. I enjoyed the split perspective between the two characters.
