Horton also included Afro-Caribbean elements, like hip circles.



As a child he was interested in Native American culture, which is also what sparked his interest in dance.

The troupe was scheduled to perform at the reputation-making theater of the Young Men's and young Women's Hebrew Association on East Ninety-second street in New York City.
